APCO Technologies Privacy Notice for Recruitment (via Teamtailor)

The service for managing recruitments (the "Service") is powered by Teamtailor on behalf of APCO Technologies (“we” “us” etc.). We are the data controller and are committed to protecting your privacy throughout the hiring process in line with applicable privacy laws and our internal data protection policies.
This Privacy Notice should be read in conjunction with our Personal Data Privacy Policy, which provides additional information about how we handle personal data across all our services.

We collect your personal data in the following situations:

We may also collect personal data from third-party sources, including public platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and other publicly accessible data. This activity is referred to as “Sourcing” and may be conducted either manually by our staff or automatically through the Service.
Additionally, current employees may recommend potential candidates by submitting relevant personal data. In such cases, the referred individual will be informed about the processing of their data accordingly.
Types of personal data collected and processed
The personal data we collect may include the following categories:
- Full name and contact information (e.g., email address, phone number)
- Photographs, videos, and other media
- Social media profile data from platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn
- Job titles, educational background, and career history
- Extract from the police record

We only collect and process data that is necessary and relevant to the recruitment process.

- When you submit a job application through the Service, either directly or via a third-party platform such as Facebook or LinkedIn. In this context, we may also use external sourcing tools to supplement your application with additional publicly available information.
- When you connect with our recruitment department through the Service, providing personal data either directly or through a third-party source such as Facebook or LinkedIn.
You also consent to our collection and use of publicly available information about you for recruitment purposes.
You may withdraw your consent at any time via the platform or by contacting us using the details provided in Section 9. Please note that withdrawing your consent may prevent you from applying for specific roles or using certain features of the Service.
4. Data sharing and transfers
Your data is accessible only to our authorized personnel, and our service provider (Teamtailor). We will not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for their own use. However, we may share your personal data with our contractors and sub-contractors, acting as our Processors and Sub-Processors in accordance with our instructions, for the provision of the Service.
All personal data is processed within the EU/EEA or in countries with adequate safeguards under the GDPR (such as through standard contractual clauses or other equivalent protections).

Your personal data is kept for the time strictly necessary to fulfill the recruitment purposes for which it was collected, unless you explicitly object in writing. After a period of two years, you will receive a system notification giving you the option to revoke your consent. If you choose to do so, your data will be promptly deleted from our records.
